Ski Holidays in Banff & Lake Louise
Banff National Park is home to three of the world’s finest ski resorts that incorporates Mt. Norquay located in the outskirts of Banff town, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise.
The three ski areas are very different in character but with a tri-area lift ticket all are accessible.
The skiing in Banff is split over two areas between Mt Norquay and Sunshine village located 20 minutes away by skier shuttle. Sunshine Village is the larger ski area of the two areas offering a three mountain resort with terrain for all levels of skiers.
The resorts offer acres of skiable terrain to suit all levels from gentle beginner slopes, legendary open bowls and challenging expert terrain. All of the ski areas generally receive some of the best snow conditions within the area making the resorts some of the most snow-sure.
Lake Louise, located 45 minutes from Banff is the largest ski area in the region. The resort offers the most awe inspiring panoramic views and memorable skiing. Located in the heart of Banff National Park, is regularly rated the most scenic resort.
The resort is one of the larger Canadian ski areas with its unique layout allows groups of varying abilities to ski together as most runs offer a terrain covering all standards of skier to the same chair.
The resort also offers endless chutes, glades and remote bowls for the more challenging skier.
The picturesque town of Banff offers an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and bars offering après ski along Banff Avenue.
Lake Louise offers more low key activity with a few excellent restaurants in the area.
